SWIMMING POOL HOURS - 2010

Now thru Sept 6 (Labor Day), pool open every day from 1 pm until 9 pm.

SOME RULES FOR POOL USE (see below for complete list)

1. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied at all times by a responsible person who is at least 13 years old.

2. SMOKING is allowed ONLY ON THE GRASSY AREA and NOWHERE else in the pool complex.

3. Note that the pool furniture is NOT to be dragged; pick it up to move it.

4.  Two guests per family are permitted at no charge; $3 for each additional guest is payable at the pool.

5.  Members are responsible for the behavior of their guests.

6.  No glass is permitted at the pool.

7.  Anyone not following a lifeguard's instructions may be suspended from pool use.

RENTAL FOR PRIVATE PARTIES

1.    For parties before 1:00 p.m. or after 9:00 p.m., the fees are:

a.    $30.00 per hour for up to 25 guests [1 lifeguard]

b.    $50.00 per hour for more than 25 guests, maximum 50 guests [2 lifeguards]

2.    For parties held during pool hours [1:00 – 9:00 p.m.] the fees are:

a.    $10.00 per hour for up to 15 guests

b.    $20.00 per hour for 16 - 30 guests [additional lifeguard required]

3.    For ALL parties the following applies:  A $100.00 deposit is required and will be refunded provided that:

a.    there is no damage to the area, and

b.    the area is completely cleaned of all party refreshments and debris immediately following the party.  This includes the grill, if used.

4.    All fees including deposit are to be paid at least 3 days prior to the party.

COMPLETE LIST OF RULES FOR POOL USE

The following rules are for the protection and benefit of all to ensure safe and sanitary operations of the pool and its facilities. Your cooperation in following these rules will afford pleasant relaxation and recreation for all.  Parents are encouraged to advise their children to observe all rules and to obey the instructions of all employees of the management team.  Accidents, no matter how minor, must be reported to the pool manager/lifeguard on duty.

1.    Pool use is limited to registered members and their guests. Each household has two (2) seasonal guest passes.

2.    All persons desiring entry to the pool are required to sign in. The log will be located at the entrance.

3.    Lifeguards are on duty to ensure your safety. Assist them by being a safe and courteous swimmer by following their instructions. Those who do not follow the lifeguard’s instructions may be suspended from using the pool at the lifeguard’s discretion.  In the event that this occurs, you will need to contact the pool chairperson to discuss the reason for the suspension in order to regain admission to the pool.

4.    Members will be responsible for the behavior of their guests.

5.    The association will not be responsible for the loss, theft, or damage to personal property belonging to members or their guests.

6.    Children who have not reached the age of  7 years must be accompanied by a responsible person no younger than 13 years of age.

7.    All persons using pool facilities must conduct themselves in a courteous and safe manner.  Running, rough play, profanity, harassment, excessive noise etc. are prohibited.

8.    All persons 15 years of age and younger will take a 15 minute rest period every hour. They are not permitted to sit along the pool edge or go into the baby pool during this time.  Parents may bring their children 2 years of age and younger into the shallow area of the main pool at this time. This time is designated as the adult swim.

9.    Use of the baby pool is restricted to children 6 years of age and younger.  A responsible person no younger than 13 years of age must remain with each child brought to the baby pool.

10.  All children under 3 years of age must wear rubber pants or under garments specifically designed for swimming under their bathing suits. Disposable diapers do not satisfy this requirement.

11.  Diving Rules

a.    Only one person at a time is permitted on the diving board.  Just one person at a time is permitted to be in the act of diving.

b. The next diver must wait until the diving well is cleared before getting onto the diving board.

12.  A lifeguard may ask any minor to demonstrate their ability to swim in order to be allowed in deep water, particularly the diving well.

13.  All trash must be placed in containers in the pool area.  NO GLASS is permitted.  Please keep our pool clean and safe.

14.  The pool may be closed at the lifeguard’s discretion for reasons such as inclement weather, equipment breakdowns, operational difficulties, or health issues.

15.  No one may use the pool unless it is officially open and a lifeguard is on duty. Violating this rule will result in a pool suspension for the rest of the season.

16.  Flotation devices will be permitted at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty.  All infants or young children using flotation devices must be within the reach of a water safe adult.  Metal toys are prohibited.

17.  Alcohol and other controlled substances are prohibited.

18.  Admission will be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, infections, or wearing bandages.

19.  Fighting will result in suspension and review by the chairperson.

20.  No one will touch any lifeguard during any dispute, nor shall any lifeguard touch any patron during any dispute.

21.  Unsanitary acts such as spitting, blowing your nose or urinating are prohibited.

22.  There is to be no changing of diapers at pool side or rinsing of baby’s bottom in either pool.  A changing table is available in the ladies’ changing area.
