You must be a registered user to view these areas. See above for details on registering. IMPORTANT NOTICES - (1) Starting this year, the names of those who DO NOT PAY THEIR ANNUAL DUES in a timely manner (or make arrangements for payment) will be listed on this page - IN ADDITION, late fee(s) will be added and owners may have a lien placed on their property. (See Article XI of the By-laws - click on DOCUMENTS at left, then on BY-LAWS.) (2) Tuesday-only trash/garbage/recyclables/yard waste collection is now in effect. There is no longer pick-up on Mondays and Thursdays. See below and at Trash Pickup (click at left) for more information. Carter Hill residents received information from the City concerning changes in collection of trash and recyclables. Nothing changed EXCEPT that Carter Hill trash and recyclables are now picked up only once a week on Tuesdays. (See the collection calendar you received for exceptions at holiday times.) Carter Hill residents may continue to use 32 gallon trash cans and blue recycling bins. If, however, you want to get the larger containers call the City at 240-314-8568. For special pick-up info, click on TRASH PICKUP at left.
Carter Hill is exempt from using the new larger, wheeled containers for trash and recycling that many others will be using. This is mainly due to the fact that the containers must be kept in our back yards, and many of the townhouse back yards have no easy access for hauling the large containers to the curb for pick up.
Please read ALL of the information you received about refuse and recyclables collection. Then, if your home has access to the curb without going thru someone else’s property and you want to get the larger containers – or if you still have questions – call the City at 240-314-8568. See DOCUMENTS - NEWSLETTERS (for registered users) for the June 2010 and earlier newsletters. |
